With 50 years of Perkins experience, the name of William Winemaster is recognized as a leader in the industry. It is no wonder that in 1985 he helped to create an organization that was to become the largest Perkins Distributorship in the world. Power Great Lakes Inc. is the largest Perkins Distributor in North America boasting a 12 state territory.

Who we are

Power Great Lakes, Inc. is the largest Perksin Diesel distributors in North America. As an OEM supplier of Perkins Diesel engines to the Industrial, Construction & Agricultural equipment markets, Power Great Lakes, Inc. serves an important role as the link between Perkins Engines and OEMs. Working as the OEMs partner, Power Great Lakes can develop “drop-in” power solutions that allow OEMs to tailor their equipment to individual customer needs.

Technical expertise

Power Great Lakes, Inc. utilizes flexible assembly lines that are focused on major product groupings. This allows Power Great Lakes to easily shift production capacity to meet unexpected changing customer demand levels and product mix while maintaining the efficient use of trained labor. Power Great Lakes also has developed efficient inline methods to support specialized product testing when required by the customer or by the application.

Power Great Lakes is very proactive in throughput/lean manufacturing practices and in supporting inventory reduction programs with our customers. Our customers have been able to reduce their inventories by more than 40% through Power Great Lakes supported programs that have included Just-In-Time, Kanban and pull systems based around specialized scheduling and release systems.
